We do not sell just anything but are constantly striving to research each manufacturer for the best quality and price to offer our customers. Until the Maxxon CS Series of boats, the high-pressure air floor was a luxury available only on very high priced boats, such as Zodiacs.

1.) Rigidity. Because of the high-pressure floor you can stand and walk on the floor just like floorboards. Not slippery when wet and much more comfortable to stand and sit on than floorboards.

2.) Very easy set-up. You'll be out on the water in a few trouble-free minutes while someone else with floorboard model boat will be sweating, cursing and pinching their fingers, trying to get the floorboards in. One of the advantages of an inflatable is the portability, but the floorboards take a lot of that advantage away because they are such a pain to get in the boat. We have had customers return floorboard models for this very reason.

3.) Lightweight. The high-pressure air floor models are so much lighter and easier to handle and carry than heavy floorboard models. They are up to 50 pounds lighter.

The ingenious high-pressure air floor. Thousands of extremely strong threads interconnect the inner surface of the super durable Bigan fabric, which allows the floor to sustain the high pressure.

Maxxons, with their lightweight, high-pressure air floors installed, weigh the same as some of the other inferior brands, with heavy floorboards installed, because of the Maxxon's heavier, higher quality fabric and construction.

4.) Performance. Because of lighter weight the high-pressure air floor models perform much better with a smaller motor and are more fuel efficient.

5.) Maintenance. As you know, wood rots. It's a fact of life. Regardless of what they are coated with, they must be recoated and maintained on a regular basis depending on conditions or the plywood will separate and rot. We have also seen wooden slats in roll-up models rotten and broken.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

The beginning stage in boat construction is the most important for Duratech in developing a faultless design and the design of Maxxon's boats are based on safety and performance. Duratech's modern plant was established solely for the production of inflatable boats and their factory's design and quality control systems insure speed, efficiency and most importantly, quality.

FABRIC

All Maxxon inflatable boats use 1,000 denier polyester fabric, which has been specially coated on both sides with P.V.C. The fabric is completely airtight in water and highly resistant to abrasions, fuel and harmful sunlight. Duratech's confidence in the fabric is reflected in their 5 year warranty.

ADHESIVE STRUCTURE AND GLUE

Maxxon seams are overlapped a full inch and reinforced with seam tape both outside and inside for extra added protection. The inner tubes stay airtight while protecting the tube from sudden impacts. To maximize the bonding and adhesiveness a polyurethane glue, that offers high durability and protection to heat and salt water, is used.

BAFFLES

The inner baffles on Maxxon boats not only keep individual air chambers completely sealed for safety but they also have a flexible design which works to equalize air pressure between cone parts.
